Alex and Jodi Averett
I was so blessed to be able to capture such wonderful moments in the lives of this amazing couple. Of course, I happen to be biased- Jodi is my cousin. I remember her walking around carrying her little baby doll, always talking about when she was going to get married and be a mommy- now she is all grown up and has turned out to be a magnificent woman! Alex is sure a lucky guy. We all gathered, and there was a lot of us, at the Bountiful Temple on March 19th, 2011. It was a beautiful ceremony, and it is always such a joy to see the love and support from all who gathered to wait for them. The weather report had said chance of rain- we missed that but got the freezing temperatures. Later in the day it snowed, luckily we were all inside by then. I have to applaud everyone for braving the cold to take pictures with Alex and Jodi.
After freezing our little tushies off we went to the luncheon with beautiful decorations, wonderful food and amazing laughs. Check out these desserts, yeah, it's ok- you can wipe the drool now!
After the luncheon was the reception. I am always truly amazed at how ordinary rooms become so beautiful for these weddings. I was also impressed at the beautiful rings that Alex and Jodi have!

Jodi wanted me to capture some moments of her getting ready. It is always tender to see a mother and daughter bond like this. I'm glad I was part of it!
I remember somewhat fondly cake being shoved into my face, so it always give me pleasure to see it happen for other people too!
Alex and Jodi were troopers, lasting through the whole long day, but they were pretty excited to share their first dance. They are such an amazing couple and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
